THE NORTHWEST HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND

GETTING HERE

Torridon is located in the remote Northwest Highlands, approximately 5 hours drive from the main airports, Glasgow and Edinburgh. It has good proximity to the smaller regional airport of Inverness but there are less flights to this location.

All airports offer good road links and plenty of available rental cars.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation in the Torridon and Shieldaig area is limited, but there is enough for everyone.

It is essential that competitors arrange a booking as soon as you can to avoid problems. Those booking later will generally find their accommodation options are further from race HQ.

There are small basic campsites with ‘honesty boxes’ in both Shieldaig and Torridon. There is a caravan/ motorhome park in Kinlochewe, but please note we do not allow wide bodied campervans to be used as support vehicles.

The following villages are within a reasonable (30-60 mins drive) of the race start: Torridon, Diabeg, Shieldaig, Applecross, Lochcarron, Kinlochewe, Gairloch, Achnasheen
